A Shopify app for serial numbers, warranty registration and claims.
Your products already carry the serial. The app fills in the Warranty field: it ties each serial to the sale, the owner and the warranty. Capture serials while you pack, let customers register by serial on your storefront, and keep every claim on the unit it's about.

Type or scan the serial from the customer's email. The unit history shows the order it shipped on, who registered it, when the warranty ends and every claim about it, inside your Shopify admin.
Hi, is my Trail 500 still under warranty? I opened a claim about the display a few days ago. The serial is NP5-24-00817.
The display turns off after 10 minutes of riding, then the motor stops assisting.
Choose which products carry a serial and how many months of warranty each one gets. When you pack an order, scan or paste one serial per unit. A barcode scanner types the code and moves to the next line.
The order saves only when every serial checks out. The serials are stored on the order as a custom field (a metafield named warranty.serials), ready for the packing slip.
Serial numbersNP5-24-00817
The customer registers on your store at /apps/warranty, a page that wears your theme. They enter the serial, their name, email and purchase date, plus up to 10 questions you write: short text, dropdown or yes/no.
When the serial is on one of your orders, the warranty end is counted from the order date, not from what the customer typed.
Register your product
The customer opens a claim at /apps/warranty/claim with the serial and their email, and follows it at /apps/warranty/status.
You set the status, write a reply the customer sees and keep an internal note they don't. When email is on, they get a receipt and an update each time you reply.
Nothing to embed, no extra login for you or your customers.
Every feature is on both plans. The only difference is how many registrations you can see each month.

No. They register and open claims with the serial number and their email address. The status page asks for both, so nobody can look up someone else's claim.
By default it's accepted, and the warranty is counted from the purchase date the customer enters. If you only sell direct, turn on “Only accept serial numbers recorded on an order” in Settings.
Any scanner that types like a keyboard. Each scan lands on its own line, and Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on a Mac) saves the order. Camera scanning isn't built.
